- UK portable power manufacturer Powertraveller Ltd has just launched the minigorilla, a portable charger for netbooks that will give users up to six additional hours of extra power on their device.
- The minigorilla features multi-voltage functionality – it will charge devices across the spectrum of 8.4V, 9.5V, 10.5V (specially included for Sony Vaio users), 12V and 19V. The minigorilla will also charge smaller devices (mobiles, iPods, MP3 players and hand-held games consoles) via the 5V USB socket and is capable of charging these smaller devices and netbooks simultaneously.
- The minigorilla weighs in at 265g and measures just 150 mm x 83 mm x 14 mm. Easy-to-use one button technology allows users to simply choose which voltage their device requires. Just select the correct voltage and connect to the minigorilla with the appropriate tip.
- Included are 20 interchangeable tips for the most popular netbook brands, including Sony, Toshiba, ASUS Eee PC, Samsung and Lenovo, as well as tips for other makes of mobile phones and other hand-held gadgets.
- The minigorilla will charge the full Apple series including the Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Touch and iPhone including the new 3GS. The minigorilla will hold enough power to recharge an iPhone five times before it then needs recharging.
- Safety features include: voltage limitation protection, current limitation protection, short circuit protection, anti-discharge protection, over-charging protection and over-heat protection.
- At the heart of the minigorilla beats a high energy Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery (with total energy capacity of 9000mAh)
- To recharge the minigorilla, use the included worldwide mains charger or via the sun, using Powertraveller’s solargorilla solar charger (available separately). Allow three hours to completely recharge a flat minigorilla from the mains.
